Is Your Blog on Sale?
You may think that it is not, because you are not selling it currently, but what if someone else is selling your domain right now? Some time ago visited a blog, and the author said that someone was selling his blog for $500 without him even knowing about it. It is a quite funny story, as it is amusing what people will do to earn money. New types of scamsg are being invented every day. Of course, if someone would pay this $500 then he would not receive the blog, as the blog owner doesn’t even know anything about it. My conclusion is that you should watch out for scams very carefully.

MADD?
You probably wonder what this post is going to be about, since the title might not seem to explain it clearly enough. Muse Attention Deficit Disorder is a disorder that affects quite a large number of bloggers worldwide. I do not know how official or commonly the name is already accepted, but I found it while browsing through CopyBlogger. One article there really made me inspired to write about this interesting phenomena. Here are some of the symptoms of MADD:
1. You have to force yourself to write a new post.
2. You think about quitting blogging for good.
3. You prefer to do other things than writing your posts, like checking your RSS feed subscribers.
4. You stop caring about the quality of your blog posts.
As you see, the symptoms are quite dangerous.

Competition to Google AdSense
It seems that the market of online ads is not longer dominated by North Americans. Some time ago the European based TradeDoubler launched its contextual advertising program, very similar to that launched by Google. Additionally, the European player offers image ads as well as product specific ads. Registering with the program is relatively easy, and soon you could enjoy the inflow of cash to your bank account as your visitors will be clicking on ads. The company is located in Sweden, employs over 500 people, and has offices in 18 different countries. The amount of advertisers taking part in the program seems to be growing each passing day.

Piracy Doesn’t Pay
Internet music piracy is a big issue that affects many people and companies, especially music studios. They might be comforted to know that there are many convictions related to piracy. For example, some time ago there was a five year prison sentence for Barry Gitarts who was responsible for a computer server which hosted hundreds of thousands of music and video files. The consequences for his illegal activities were very big and this conviction might remind people of that. Currently there are ongoing federal investigations into organized piracy groups who distribute such files, so in the future we might hear about more piracy groups getting convicted.
