Boycotting Google
There are some people not happy with Google for various reasons, and a lot of them are taking action. Some of the decided to boycott Google by not using Google’s search engine. Personally, I am not going to boycott this company in any way. I would probably not get noticed by Google anyway, so I prefer to use their services so that at least I can benefit from their search engine. I am still hoping that Google will have more competition. Google is currently ruling the Internet and it will probably remain like that for many, many months to come. If you maintain a quite popular blog, a lot of your traffic might be coming from this search engine. Probably some of you are making some money from Adsense, which also belongs to Google.

Using Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is installed on almost every computer in the world. That might be because it comes pre-installed on every PC with the Windows operating system. However, there are many users who never use IE even though it is installed by default. They only reason they sometimes use it is the fact that some webpages are only properly displayed in IE. Such poorly coded pages do not load completely if a person uses Firefox or Opera. I hope that in the future more and more webpages will be compatible with Mozilla Firefox and Opera as those browsers are considered to be safer than Internet Explorer. I have heard from various sources that Firefox is a lot safer due to various plugins that enhance security. If some users want to continue using Firefox, then they should be able to do so; however, incompatibility issues with some webpages are currently a problem.

Get Advice on Forums
Bloggers often benefit from good advice, as having a blog can be quite difficult. That is because it involves doing many different tasks. Besides being a writer, a blog owner has to be involved in marketing, comment/spam moderation, link exchanges, researching a lot of data, and a lot of other things. Since it is hard to be an expert in everything, it is a good thing that often more experienced bloggers are willing to offer advice. Personally, I think that forums are a great place for people to share their experience and learn from each other. Of course, you might just want to learn from your closest friends, but this might limit you in some way. Not everyone personally knows a great deal of bloggers, especially those who are really successful. That is why I recommend to get more involved in discussions on forums about blogging as I think it can benefit most bloggers. Of course, I also encourage you to visit various blogs about blogging as they contain a lot of useful information.
If you are already an experienced blogger, then perhaps you could consider helping other bloggers by giving some valuable advice. If you had a chance to give only one tip to less experienced bloggers, then what would it be?

Google Sandbox
Google Sandbox effect is a theory that is used to explain the fact that websites with newly-registered domains are placed in a sandbox (a holding area) in Google indexes for a few months. This also applies to domains with frequent ownership changes. During this time a websites Page Rank is very often not getting updated. Additionally, it has been observed that such a site will only be displayed in search results for keywords that are not competitive. Currently, there is a debate about the subject, and some believe that the sandbox effect does not even exist. However, most users agree that it applies in some way to Google. That is because other search engines are not affected by the sandbox at all. I think I might have noticed the Google sandbox effects with some websites, so until I receive some additional data, I will be convinced of its existence. While your Page Rank might not get updated when you are in sandbox, I still recommend that you work on obtaining backlinks. That is because you will benefit from it within a few months. Additionally, you might obtain a lot of new readers if you focus on marketing.
