I have heard about Platinum Equity for the first time many years ago. I knew they were a large company specializing in mergers and acquisitions. The founder of the company is Tom Gores. Gores has been a businessman for many years now. During his career, he had many chances to learn interesting things and develop strategies for his company. He is also the developer of so-called “managed entrepreneurship”. This philosophy helped him and his business become successful on many levels. Blogging can be very rewarding if you blog about the things you love and that are interesting. When you set up a blog you decide on which topic you are going to write about to your readers. From my experience I can say that the more attractive the subject for you, the more likely you will want to write posts on your blog and the longer you will remain a blogger. However, blogging is not only about writing. It gives us opportunities to make new friends, participate in social events and maybe even make some money. There are various websites dedicated to bloggers that are doing a great job by giving us what is the best in the blogosphere. If you enjoy writing like I do and if writing gives you a lot of fun, then writing articles and sharing them with others will not be a problem for you and you will find pleasure in it. The world of the blogosphere has never been so vibrant and alive and it is thanks to various websites that connect bloggers. Almost everybody can become a blogger, so if you have something to write about and would like to get the word spread about it, then simply start your own blog. It is also good to have conversations with other bloggers, because what can be better than spreading the word through other bloggers and writers?

Two Influential Men

The Republicans need financial support just as the Democrats do. Two avid supporters of Republican politics are influential businessmen Henry Kravis and Kenneth Mehlman. The Republican Party benefited from the support of those two businessmen many times. They both supported the presidential campaign of former president of the United States George W. Bush. Both of them work for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., a large organization specializing in financing and investing of undervalued small companies or undervalued operations within large companies. Both men are involved in many philanthropist activities. It would be difficult for me to mention all of them in this post, as there are simply so many charities and organizations that benefited from their help. Their help has proven invaluable in many cases. They support politics, education, health organizations, and many more. For example, Henry Kravis and his wife donated $15 million for the Center for Cardiovascular Health in New York. Together, they are two influential businessmen who shape the financial sector in the United States. If you would like to learn something more about those two influential men, do not hesitate to do some research on the Internet. Courtney Sale Ross

Whenever I hear a story about a philanthropist, I want to share it with other people. Recently, I read a short biography of Courtney Sale Ross. In case you do not know who she is, I would like to describe what she does for education in a few sentences. Former CEO of Time Warner, Inc. Steven Ross was her husband before he passed away. Even though Courtney is a widow, she decided to do good things for people. She has been interested and involved in education for many years now. Her main goal is to prepare students for 21st century problems. One of the ways to accomplish this was the foundation of The Ross School. The Ross School was not the only institution that Courtney founded. There is also Ross Global Academy and Ross Institute. Courtney is also known as a person who is interested in US/China relations. She also supports minorities. For example, Courtney offers a Courtney Sale Ross Scholarship Fund for minority women who often cannot afford to attend a college and university and pay for it. I am always glad to hear a story of a person like this one. I hope that by hearing a story, more and more people will decide to become philanthropists just like Courtney did 16 years ago.

-Globe of Blogs is an index of weblogs as submitted by their authors.
-LS Blogs is a directory of blogging-related sites: forums, directories and search engines, software and hosts, and blogs.
-Technorati is perhaps the most popular directory. You can submit your photo as well.
-Findory aggregates blogs and recommends content based on users interest. It means that if a user is reading a blog with similar content he may be presented with your blog.
-Blogarama is another popular directory.
-2rss.com is where you can submit your RSS feed.
-Blogdigger is an RSS search engine. Submit your feed here.
-Bloghop allows users to tagsurf blogs that match their interest.

Keep in mind that in most cases editors of those directories will want to review your website before accepting it. Make sure your blog is at least a few weeks/months old and has some original content.
