I have heard about Platinum Equity for the first time many years ago. I knew they were a large company specializing in mergers and acquisitions. The founder of the company is Tom Gores. Gores has been a businessman for many years now. During his career, he had many chances to learn interesting things and develop strategies for his company. He is also the developer of so-called “managed entrepreneurship”. This philosophy helped him and his business become successful on many levels. Due to the fact that his company allowed him to make plenty of money, Gores supports many organizations or charities. UCLA Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital are only some of the examples of institutions that benefit from his regular financial support.
